  my name is christian and my wife is katja, and we have been out of the organization for a year and a half.

  we were both regular pioneers and i was a ministerial servant.

  we were very much happy to be witnesses and doing our best to do more for the organization.

  Confused: What does the overlapping generation really mean?

  can someone help me understand how the wt came up with the overlapping generation theory?

  i just don't understand it even though i read the information several times.

  The overlapping generation doctrine means that since 1995 the WTBTS has been making up shit as they go along.

  The more time passes, the more they have to change positions on just about everything.

  This Org just like any other human org will have plenty of errors. Get over it already.

  Disrupting accomplishes nothing. If the disrupters cross the line to assault in any way, I hope for legal charges.

  rereading a post re the shunning wt in feb made me think, do the wt accept money from the dead?

  not inheritances but from the "living dead" as they perceive df and da people to be.. personally i think they accept or more correctly badger members who are really brain dead into giving.

  or do attendants guard contribution boxes to stop such non existent people from putting money in.

  Silly, disruptive and disrespectful to the faith and the occasion.

  I hope someone contacts the police and charge them with something.

  Better yet, since all in attendance are not JWs, I hope one day one of them gets fed up with the bad conduct and punches the disrupter(s) right in the kisser.

  You all would be surprised at how many JWs inside could not care any less about doctrine, just going through the motions barely in order to keep the social interactions with friends and family.

  Tonight's meeting is a drag and boring, but where we all meet afterwards for food and drinks is the real fun deal. It's Friday!!!!😜

  Attended memorial last night

  so since i have not been to any meetings in like 2 months because of health issues, i had to decide what to do about the memorial.

  my health has improved quite a bit and i feel much better than i did 2 months ago.

  i could still have used the "not feeling well" card and stay home.

  I would not attend the memorial. What is the point? I would be considered 'lost/dead'. It would be a waste of time.

  death at the 'memorial'

  i just got the news from our former congregation in hollister, ca regarding a tragic event following the 'memorial' wednesday night.

  we shared the kh with 2 spanish congos.. a couple from the spanish congregation were leaving the kh so that the next spanish congo could have their 'memorial'.

  they exited the parking lot in their car when hit by an oncoming car right in front of the kh.
